Fresh Farm Shares for Chesapeake Families — No Long Drive Required

Pungo Farm grows everything in Virginia Beach's Pungo/Back Bay area — one of Hampton Roads' last true agricultural corridors. To make our organic-practice CSA accessible for Chesapeake families, we bring the harvest to a convenient Chesapeake, VA pickup location every week.

You get the same share as Virginia Beach members. Same vegetables. Same farm. Same the farmers who grew it. The only difference is you don't have to drive all the way to Pungo to pick it up.

What's in Your Chesapeake CSA Share

Every Chesapeake CSA box reflects what's actually growing and thriving on the farm that week. We don't pre-plan boxes months out and then force-fit produce. You get what's real, what's seasonal, and what's fresh — because it was in the ground days before it reaches your Chesapeake pickup site.

  • Kale, collards, and hearty winter greens
  • Broccoli and seasonal brassicas
  • Carrots and root vegetables
  • Winter lettuce and salad mix
  • Fresh herbs — dill, cilantro, parsley
  • Storage alliums: onions, garlic, shallots
  • Seasonal surprises from the field

Every share includes a weekly farm email from the farm with what's in the box, where it grew, and easy ideas for using it. Chesapeake members tell us the emails make the vegetables feel like they have a story — because they do.

Why Chesapeake Families Join Pungo Farm's CSA

There's no shortage of grocery stores in Chesapeake. But there's a shortage of food that was grown by people you can actually meet, on land you can visit, using organic practices you can actually understand. That's what Pungo Farm's Chesapeake CSA delivers.

We keep membership intentionally small across both the Virginia Beach and Chesapeake pickup locations. That means the Pungo Farm team knows every household. Your share doesn't get assembled by someone who doesn't know your family — it gets packed by the farmers who grew it.
